THERYQ is heading to this year’s FLASH Radiotherapy & Particle Therapy – FRPT annual conference, held at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague in the Czech Republic from December 10 to 12.
FLASH Radiotherapy & Particle Therapy Annual Conferences
Since its introduction in 2021, the FRPT conference has been the premier annual meeting bringing together scientists and professionals sharing an interest in FLASH radiotherapy. Their annual events bring together researchers, students, clinical oncology professionals and industrial partners like THERYQ to form a global community committed to the study, development and eventual clinical application of this novel radiobiological effect.
Don’t miss THERYQ’s Meet the Experts Session in Prague
The FLASHKNiFE™ Project: User Experience and Practical Evidence in Physics and Radiobiology for Electron-FLASH Radiotherapy.
Thursday 11 December at 12:55-13:40

From the lab, to the clinic, to the future: this symposium distills early user experience with the FLASHKNiFE™ platform across radiobiology and physics. Speakers will report dosimetric and physicochemical measurements at ultra-high dose rates, present radiobiological characterization of electron-FLASH radiotherapy, and share initial beam characterization and commissioning data for UHDR electron beams. Attendees will gain practical guidance on commissioning and QA, a clearer view of how physicochemical readouts inform biological endpoints, and a realistic appraisal of outstanding challenges. The session concludes with a forward-looking discussion translating electron FLASH into robust pre-clinical and clinical workflows and a Q&A session.
Note: FLASHKNiFE™ is not commercially available and has not been cleared for sale. This device is intended exclusively for display or demonstration purposes and may not be made available as a medical device until it has been brought into conformity with the relevant regulations.
FLASH Radiotherapy, a Promising Innovation in Radiotherapy Research
FLASH Radiotherapy is an innovative radiation technique in which treatment is delivered in a fraction of a second, at an ultra-high dose rate (commonly referred to using the acronym “UHDR”). Using this method, a remarkable biological effect can be observed, with pre-clinical research showing an enhanced differential response: damage to surrounding healthy tissue is reduced with a maintained level of tumor control compared to conventional treatments1.
The triggering of this effect, known as “FLASH”, is possible thanks to innovative particle beam accelerators, capable of reaching Ultra-High Dose Rates of over 100Gy/s2.
THERYQ specializes in the development of FLASH Radiotherapy projects and has partnered with various leading cancer research centers worldwide in collaborative FLASH research projects. THERYQ is committed to supporting the clinical translation of FLASH radiotherapy through innovation in UHDR electron linear accelerators.
Note: FLASH radiotherapy is a novel technique, delivering radiation at ultra-high dose rates in a fraction of a second. This modality is currently being studied and is not clinically available.
